Stories appear to be shown in a fundamental way in which the brain organizes information in a practical and memorable unique way. The human brain mapping is one of the biggest mysteries. It is the concept of how we create meaning out of our words. Stories are deep-rooted and writing gives the opportunity to dig deeper to find hidden "U" It helps others to have a better image of the bigger picture. New brain research by USC scientists shows that reading stories is a universal experience that may result in people feeling greater empathy for one another. It was an amazing experience to witness the Richness of Diversity! among animals live in Liberation!

Simplicity is often found in unexpected corners teach us the privileges of freedom.

On the way to spend a weekend at the Cafe de sol beach resort we stopped to visit Auto Safari Chaplin.

It began with a fresh cup of coconut water served with love and a shining smile by Indu!

It was a very beautiful moment took me by surprise.

The delicious coconut water brought back the pleasant memories of my care free! worry free childhood.

It was amazing to watch the mellow tigers, lions and all animals mingling; getting along with each other. Laying down side by side with peace and tranquility

To my eyes it was a glimpse I Heaven filled my happy ❤ with ultimate gratitude.

No bars! No walls has created an incredible bond found in the animal kingdom! In wilderness, allows them to live with peace and Harmony.

Claudia and i enjoyed the spiritual experience to make eye contact with Zebras while feeding them with great Love!

Unforgettable uplifting moments to cherish!

Indu didn't seem to have a minute to spare due to his hectic schedule but made plans in Silence to make my visit memorable .

Last November I flew the friendly skies to Guatemala on my birthday to spend time with my nephew, his lovely wife Caludia, precious Baby Bianca and little dog Goofy.

Indu was determined to make so much happen in the little time with sacrificial LOVE displayed with the innocent smile cannot be articulated with all the words in the dictionary.

He wouldn't let any distraction stand in the way.

I watched Claudia's determination to make it a point to save the environment with one straw at a time.

Touched by an Angel!

Touched by an Angel!

Her confident heavenly voice took my breath away. We sat in silence and listened to her fascinating voice on Sunday the 19th August during the service at Calvary church. It was a very gratifying spiritual experience and I feel so blessed for the privilege to be present with the audience that morning in calm delight. Her grace, sweetness charm. the friendly sophicated simplicity captured us. A breath of fresh air! A treasure, precious Gem. You'd be amazed as well if you get to meet and listen to her. Music unseen, still move the heart! A friend for life; great language to grow up and spread the joy. Devotion to motion defines memorable moments! it was one of those precious moments to reminise with joy! She certainly made a mark on me. Every child is precious and should have the opportunity to play a melody brings joy to their hearts. Certain beloved melodies linger in our heart and minds for-ever. Beautiful music is the food of LOVE! A magnet to Peace, Joy, and Harmony.

Divided we fail the children

On 21st July I joined my friend Bel her husband Stan, their children and friends to support the hurting mothers and the children of the illegal immigrants who are living in separation from each other.

The innocent children don’t deserve to live in deep anguish and wonder why? and what caused the separation. Those in power should focus and do whatever it takes to close the loopholes in the system than making children pay the price for the decisions parents made.

There have to be a wiser, civilized, kind ways to create a healthy balance.

The feeling of being isolated from the only world they know is devastating to the fragile minds, who are at the mercy of unknown; a different world. Intense emotions of separation anxiety cause deep scars! Few lines of a famous song come to my mind.

“There is a tear in your eye! and I ‘m wondering why? For it never should be there at all”.

So many caring people walked the walk to send a message of LOVE while hurting parents graciously offered the supporters cool water with a warm smile during the long walk began at Iconic McArthur park.

Their attitude of gratitude gave us spiritual energy to make it to the finish line in the extreme heat that afternoon.

Who could relate to their pain better than our family had to live on 3 continents in separation because of inhuman cruelty of few lost souls? We know because we walked the desert In their shoes.

Miraculously we had a second chance to reunite, but the anxieties and the confusion caused during the separation left deep scars! Deeper than the permanent visible scar on my face.

After we got reunited I remember the moment my daughter said to me. “Mama I wish you fed me only coconut and rice and kept me with you.” I replied to her, “Shirlene I wish it was that easy,”

Couldn’t hold the tears filled my eyes, turned around to hide the fears of losing her again because of my misunderstood intentions.

She couldn’t understand but the choices were made for us.

It was a very uplifting experience to see caring people gathered together raising their voices on behalf of the tormented children who were fearful, and unable to express the grief and sorrow of separation.

Families belong together! Children need nurture, compassion, and understanding; certainly not punishment.

Divided we fail the world! Mother nature ! ‘U” Universe!

An inspirational story: A living testimony of Hope for redemption

An inspirational story: A living testimony of Hope for redemption

Correction does much. Encouragement does more.

Shon Hopwood was young and reckless. He served time in prison for bank robbery. Later became a well-known as a jailhouse lawyer.

Awaken once help others!

His inspirational story gives a silver line of HOPE to prisoners for a second chance at a life worth living. Shon did this from behind bars. His legal journey began at the federal prison. where he learned to write briefs for the prisoners while serving a 12-year sentence.

He heard the haunting harsh words spoken over and over by the prison guards to the prisoners.

You are worthless! You'd amount to nothing.

Without a doubt, those words and the hostile atmosphere crush their spirit and hold them back to remain behind bars with no desire to change their route. The low self-esteem kicks in as they feel outcast from the society. It's not over once they are released after the time served, and faced with a new set of challenges as they have to live with the stigma of being a criminal.

The dark shadow of harsh judgment follow and prevents them from improving their behavior and certainly wouldn't motivate them to think better about themselves and make better choices.

Their past haunts them to the extent they go back to the life of crime for survival as it seems like the only way and over time most of them become hardened criminals.

The condemnation presses down and manifests a heavy burden and they miss out on the joy of redemption.

Power is only safe with those who humble themselves to serve with love and care.

Thankfully those harsh words fell on deaf ears to Hopwood. He heard his little voice after about 6 months being incarceration. He leaned prison is certainly not the place for personal growth. He decided to take a 'U' turn.

Shon Robert Hopwood is an American Law professor of law at Georgetown University law center.

Jails are also overcrowded with drug addicts. They are not criminals and certainly don't belong behind bars.

They need counseling not punishment.

The recognition that. most criminals and delinquents are mentally ill people, mostly might have led to mental disturbance by harsh words spoken over them, who had to grow up in hostile atmosphere need treatment rather than punishment. The liberal outlook on the problem, that is the progressive social reform to replace punishment with re-rehabilitation

It is crucial we share these stories to give hope to those who might have given up in the belief nobody cared because they are worthless.

Mental institutions and jails are overcrowded because most people are quick to judge, condemn and throw the key away and look the other way.

Don't be hard on those who have lost their way and trapped. Be tender. Listen to their story to understand why. Raise awareness! Feed their minds constantly to shape the lives.

Tenderness is not weakness. Be kind! Help them break the barriers and find their way.

Divine Encounters!

My former boss Arthur Jayasundera is in the process of editing my followup book Divine Connections. Arthur was my boss many decades ago. We lost touch and got re-connected through mutual friends miraculously.

I was encouraged when I was given a deadline by him to write a summary of my first book ‘Teera a life of Hope and fulfillment in order for him to continue editing.

For quite a while I worked diligently on it , but by the day of 6/19/17 I was overwhelmed in doubt if I had covered all areas in order to paint a clear picture for those who would read the follow-up book ‘Divine Connections” but hadn’t read the first book ‘Teera A life of Hope and fulfillment.

I said to myself I should sleep on the summary for few more days as my co-author Patrick often advised me.

However, I got a print out of the summary and left the office undecided where I would be heading. These days I go with the flow something I got accustomed even more since my memoir was published. I needed to be at a place where I could reflect in Peace. I got on the subway train still unsure where I wanted to go.Suddenly it dawned on me the perfect place would be the beach. It’s an awesome place to connect with Nature when troubled by uncertainty.

I transferred to the Expo train to Santa Monica, walked past the peer, put my shoes in my backpack, took a nice slow stroll by the ocean soaking my feet with cool water, breathing fresh air with an enormous feeling of peace and tranquility, and loving every moment in gratitude for the freedom and the opportunity to be there. It was getting quite warm so I stopped by the Bloomingdale mall and went to a fast food restaurant to get myself a snack with the intention of sitting down at a quiet place for a few minutes.

While I was waiting, a young gentleman who stood in front of me in line, turned around and asked me what I was planning to order. We both looked at the board. I said I would order a small fries and get myself some water. His name is Derris Nile, and he claimed that he doesn’t eat unhealthy food, and showed me the “special” on the menu which was a good meal for a very reasonable price. I told Derris it looks good and that I would like to try it, but since I am not that hungry would he like to share it with me. He agreed but said he would have to eat outside because he had his dog Phoenix tied to a tree.

Derris then added that he became homeless many times because he was not willing to part with Phoenix.

I turned around and saw cute little Phoenix looking in our direction waiting anxiously for his best buddy. Their love for each other touched my soul deeply.

The waiter served our meal kindly showed us to a corner where the three of us could sit. Long story, in brief, the young man said, his name is Derris, and revealed to me he is a dancer, actor, singer and a songwriter. He is looking forward to being a producer in the near future.

While we were sharing our meal he told me he wrote his heart out in 20 songs. He said he doesn’t like to write, however, he wrote a book with the title” Attitude of Gratitude”. Awe! I thought it was incredible as we now have something important in common, GRATITUDE! I knew he would be the perfect person to give me a feedback on the summary.

I pulled it out from my backpack instantly and handed it to him. Derris kept reading it without a blink. After a little while, I said to him, “your food is getting cold”. He raised his head and said, “this is so captivating, I cannot take my eyes off it, I cannot put it down”. After finished reading it Derris said to me, “Teera, I have written many scripts, and read many, but have never come across one that captured my attention like this one”. I was overjoyed to hear him say those words!

Then he added ” Teera, looking at you it is impossible to say you have gone through so much. You are smiling!”.

Derris looked very burdened when he said to me that he was waiting to hear from a lady who he was hoping to rent a place to live with Phoenix. He got a call while we were chatting. I was so glad to see his face brighten up and happy as he said with a smile that the lady was willing to rent the apartment to both of them. He seemed so relieved. He said he was so exhausted having to move his luggage from place to place as he and Phoenix were homeless at the time.

Awe! I said to myself. Ultimate sacrifice! pure Love.

Derris trusted me to watch Phoenix and the luggage, while he left for few minutes to clean up. Within about two hours he revealed to me a few stories of his many struggles. He is a humble survivor and certainly seemed to have the potential to make it in the entertainment world. A young artist who was injured by family and society struggling in the City of Angeles to follow his dream. He left home at 17 to distant himself from the unhealthy environment and hostile atmosphere, to avoid drama and move forward in order to follow his dream.

He has a compelling story to share with the world but will wait until the TIME IS right… He seemed so sincere. We took the same train back home newly energized, and I was feeling so at peace by the time I got off the train. It was a gratifying, uplifting encounter. Derris had a big smile when he revealed that it seemed like forever since he is opened up to somebody, and felt like a burden was lifted off his shoulders. I told him that I know the feeling. When my story was released, A HEAVY LOAD WAS LIFTED OFF ME.

He got a glimpse of my story and saw my strength despite all the vulnerabilities!!! Most of my life’s inspirations came to me from strangers and teenagers. Over time we learn which hand to shake and which one to hold.

SADLY OFTEN WE CHOOSE TO BE STRANGERS!

We should make every effort to keep the Oceans and our environment clean so people can connect with nature and enjoy simple pleasures!

The Universe certainly has a way of connecting the right people at the right TIME. Listening is an act of LOVE! Write your heart out. people might read your story and be inspired.

In God’s LOVE,

Teera
